i wish you were still around so i can show you how much i’ve grown. i wish you were still around so i could show you the girl the stole my heart. i wish you’d be around for my graduation, marriage, and be there for my kids the way you’ve been there for my brothers and i.i wish you’d be around so i can tell you how much i love you…to say goodbye.
but now that you’re gone…
i wish i had the chance to thank you for everything you’ve done for me. to show you how much you mean to me and to tell you how much i love you. i wish i had the chance to say sorry for not being better the last time you came to visit. i wish i could have been there before you left…i wish i had the chance to see you one last time
i will miss the walks we used to have at the park when i was young. i will miss the times being woken up early in the morning to you reading your bible. i’ll miss the foods you used to make me whenever i was hungry. i’ll miss giving you a hug and a kiss.
i hope God grants you a safe journey into heaven and saves you a nice spot beside him. i love you so much.
